your agent pays you.

Your agent is thinking. Your status line is earning. Short, labeled sponsor messages while you wait — keep up to 60% of every ad dollar.

the deal

up to 60% of every ad dollar is yours.

Sponsors pay per qualified impression. You keep 40% by default — or 60% the moment you turn on sponsored options. No thresholds, no fine print. If the line earns, you earn.

how it works

01

install

One command wires CodeBacks into your agent's status line. Works with codex, claude code, and VS Code.

npx codebacks init
02

wait

While the agent thinks, a short sponsored message rides the status line. Always labeled, never in your prompts or code.

adimpressions accrue while it shows
03

cash out

Every qualified impression settles to your balance. Pull it to your bank any time from $5.

what's your wait worth?

the fine print, unfined.

does this interrupt my agent?

No. The message rides the status line you already watch, only while the agent is busy. Nothing is injected into prompts, context, or output — ever.

how much can i actually earn?

Ads play in 10-second slots. You keep 40% of each play's price by default, or 60% with sponsored options turned on. Sponsors bid per block of 1,000 plays (min $1) — at the floor that's about $0.14–$0.22 per hour of waiting at the rate cap, and the auction pushes real bids higher. The calculator above does the math for your habits.

what do sponsors see about me?

Aggregate impressions, nothing else. No code, no prompts, no filenames, no identity. Targeting matches campaign keywords against broad language and framework tags from your workspace manifests.

when do i get paid?

Whenever you like, from a $5 balance. Bank transfer via Stripe — arrives in 2–3 days.
